“Chinese Modernization in My Eyes” Creative Works Competition
Amid the tides of globalization and mutual learning among civilizations, Chinese modernization is injecting new vitality into global development with its unique path. This modern transformation of oriental civilization is writing a story that belongs to all humanity.
“Nothing, not even mountains and oceans, can separate people with shared goals and vision.” The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of South Sudan cordially invites people from all walks of life in South Sudan to share personalized interpretations of "Chinese modernization." Through your creative works, help the world better understand China and showcase the myriad possibilities of modernization paths to the global community.
I. Formats
Works may take any form or genre, including but not limited to essays, paintings, photographs, videos (not exceeding 3 minutes) and other creative expressions.
II. Themes
Submissions may explore, but are not limited to, the following perspectives:
(I) Present reflections and insights on Chinese modernization and China's development path from multiple dimensions，such as economy, science and technology, culture, and social development.
(II) Tell the stories of the two countries’ win-win cooperation, cultural exchange, and people-to-people bonds by combining China-South Sudan cooperation projects and China’s development assistance to South Sudan.
III. Requirements and Guidelines
(I) Originality and Content：Works must be original, positive in content, and factually accurate. Submission implies consent for non-commercial use by the Chinese Embassy in South Sudan (e.g. publicity, exhibitions).
(II) How to Submit: Submit digital works to worksubmission2025ss@gmail.com, with such essential information as the author’s name, contact number, subject of works, completion date, and a brief description. Physical works, labeled with the above information and marked: “Participating in ‘Chinese Modernization in My Eyes’ Creative Works Competition”, could be delivered directly to the Chinese Embassy in South Sudan.
(I) Duration: From today to July 1st, 2025.
(II) Evaluation: July 1st –15th , 2025.
(III) Display: July 15th –September 30th , 2025. Selected works will be showcased on the Chinese Embassy’s Facebook and X accounts. Stay tuned!
(IV) Award Announcement: Awards will be published on Chinese Embassy’s official website, Facebook, and X by late July 2025, followed by an awarding ceremony.
V. Awards
(I) “Cultural Bridge Award”(Grand Prize) : A short-term study tour opportunity to China and a certificate.
(II) First Prize: The cash prize and a certificate.
(III) Second Prize: The cash prize and a certificate.
(IV) Third Prize: The cash prize and a certificate.
(V) Encouragement Award: The cash prize and a certificate.
