
On 5 March, H.E. Amb. MA Qiang had a meeting with Hon. Atong Kuol Manyang, Minister of Trade and Industry of South Sudan, and the two sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
H.E. Amb. MA Qiang elaborated on China's policy of granting zero-tariff treatment for 100% tariff lines to 53 African countries with which it has diplomatic relations, welcoming the South Sudanese side to make good use of this policy dividend to expand exports to China. He expressed that China is willing to work with South Sudan to further expand bilateral trade, diversify traded goods, and promote high-quality development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
Hon. Minister Atong appreciated China's valuable support, stating that the South Sudanese Government highly values its relations with China and is willing to further strengthen practical cooperation with China in areas such as expanding bilateral trade and capacity-building, actively increasing the variety of goods exported to China.
