On November 12, Ambassador Hua Ning met with Rt Hon. Ubuch Ujwok Akuo, Speaker of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly of South Sudan, and exchanged views on China-South Sudan relations and the peace process of South Sudan.
Ambassador Hua reviewed the joint anti-COVID-19 cooperation and the practical cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, health service and education between the two countries. He said that China will continue to support the implementation of the revitalization peace agreement and is willing to provide support within its capacity for the economic and social development of South Sudan.
Speaker Ojwok thanked China for its valuable support for South Sudan's epidemic control, peace process and economic development. He briefed the ambassador the progress of the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement, especially the reconstitution of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly. He said that the South Sudanese Legislative Assembly is willing to deepen friendly exchanges with the Chinese legislature, to jointly promote the continuous development of bilateral relations.
