On April 16, 2024, the Handover Ceremony of Eid Al-Fitr Charity Donation was held in Juba. H.E. Amb. MA Qiang attended the ceremony together with His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdallah Barag Rwal, Secretary General of the South Sudan Islamic Council.

Amb. MA Qiang extends his sincere greetings to the Muslims of South Sudan and wishes the people of South Sudan happiness, peace, prosperity and an auspicious Eid.

Amb. MA Qiang observed that more than 20 million Chinese Muslims have been celebrating Eid Al-Fitr simultaneously with South Sudanese Muslims. Many of them live in Xinjiang, where His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdallah Barag Rwal visited and witnessed that people there are enjoying social stability, economic prosperity, ethnic harmony and freedom of religious belief. The Chinese Embassy is willing to implement the Global Civilization Initiative with South Sudan to enhance the people-to-people connectivity between the two countries and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind in the new era.

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdallah Barag Rwal appreciated Chinese Embassy for the donation of rice, flour and sunflower and stressed that the Islamic Council and people of South Sudan will continue to develop cooperation with China and deepen friendly bilateral relationship.
